BIOGRAPHY

Damian Keller is an Austrian accordionist.

 

He works both as a soloist and as a dynamic chamber musician in various ensembles of different styles.

His work mainly includes works from the baroque, classical and contemporary music.

 

Keller also has a special passion for tango.

Damian Keller currently lives in Vienna.

Born in 1995 in Bregenz (AT), Damian Keller has been playing Accordion since he was seven. In 2009, he passed his audition at the Vorarlberger Landeskonservatorium in Feldkirch, where he began his studies with Prof. Goran Kovacevic.

Damian Keller reached musical achievement in 2012 were he was recogised by the "Förderklasse für musikalisch Hochbegabte des Landes Vorarlberg" (Vorarlberg's highest class of gifted musicians). 

To further his studies and growth, Keller reloceted to Vienna where he joined the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK)'s prestigious music program under Univ.-Prof. Grzegorz Stopa's tutelage. 

Masterclasses with Iñaki Alberdi, Song Na, Stefan Hussong, Frank Marocco, Michael Augustsson, Andreas Nebl, Semion Shmelkov and Grzegorz Stopa have expanded his musical growth to date. 

Keller maintains an importance in his career by helping and collaborating with young composers. In accordance, he has performed world-premier performances for Gerald Futscher, among others.

Damian Keller is a multi-prize winning Accordionist and continues to perform both as a soloist and ensemble member for national and international audiences.
